Calendula, often called ‘Ball’s orange’, is a bright, cheerful wildflower best known for its vibrant orange, ball-like blooms that resemble small suns in the garden. These dense, layered flower heads bloom over a long season and are highly attractive to pollinators such as bees and hoverflies. Though usually grown as an annual, calendula readily self-seeds, returning each year in many climates.
